Shimmers are special sparkling fantasy creatures that live in the Shimmering Forest. They are a mix of human and another creature, either bird, butterfly, horse, deer, or fish. Shimmers came into production in 1986 and were made by Kenner; having KPT and the copyright date stamped on them. A whole other line and play sets were planned for release in
1987 but were never released. They came packaged with one mother, one baby, an accessory and a comb for the mother. The are often confused with Sea Wees, also produced by Kenner. Ten different packages of Shimmers were sold in totality.
